ANNOUNCEMENT ON STUDYING IN GERMANY
A joint training program between Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE), Nordhausen Preparatory University, and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences (Germany).
I. Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following two conditions:
- For high school graduates: Pass the National High School Graduation Examination and take independent exam subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and a Foreign Language, along with one optional subject group—either the 'Social Sciences Group' or the 'Natural Sciences Group'—which includes three exam subjects. The average score of these six subjects must be ≥ 6.5, with no subject scoring below 4.0.
- For university students: Must have completed at least 1 or 2 years of a recognized university program in Vietnam.
- For cases requiring a change of major or academic group, please contact the Program Coordinator for consultation.
II. Program Information
1. Annual Enrollment Quota: 20 students per year.
2. Fields of Study at Nordhausen Preparatory University: Engineering and Social Economics.
3. Majors at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences
- Computer Science, Business Administration, Electrical and Automation Engineering, Construction Management, International Business & Economics, Social Work, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Renewable Energy & Recycling Technology, Healthcare & Social Services, and more.
4. Study Program Structure
4.1. At Hanoi University of Civil Engineering
- German language courses, Mathematics in German, TestAS preparation, and university entrance exam preparation for Nordhausen Preparatory University.
- Duration: 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year at HUCE (depending on the student's German proficiency level).
- Entrance exam for Nordhausen Preparatory University is held at HUCE.
4.2. In Germany
- 1-year preparatory program at Nordhausen Preparatory University.
- Bachelor’s degree studies at partner universities in Germany, lasting 3.5 to 4 years, depending on the major.
- Bachelor’s degree awarded by the German partner university.
5. Tuition Fees
5.1. Tuition Fees in Vietnam
- Payment amount: 90,000,000 VND (ninety million VND) for students studying from A1 level up to the university preparatory exam (for classes with at least 20 students).
- For students who already have a German language proficiency level, the tuition fee will vary depending on their specific German proficiency level at the time of admission and the number of students enrolled.
- 5% tuition discount for family members of staff at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.
- The above tuition fees do not include additional costs such as TestAS exam fees, APS application, bank account setup, visa, airfare, insurance, document notarization, translation fees, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Payment method: Bank transfer after signing the contract.
5.2. Tuition Fees in Germany
- No tuition fees.
- Living expenses (food, accommodation, transportation, insurance, etc.): Estimated at €800-950 per month, depending on the student’s lifestyle and location.
6. Student Support Services
- HUCE students are allowed to defer their first semester to transfer into the Joint Program.
- The program provides support for academic documentation, financial proof, visa application, and other necessary procedures.
- Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) will re-admit students from the Joint Program if they are unable to continue their studies in Germany.
7. Admission Period & Required Documents
- Application period: March – September each year.
- Required documents:
- Temporary high school graduation certificate or high school diploma (1 copy).
- High school academic transcript (1 copy).
- University admission notification or enrollment certificate (1 copy, if applicable).
- National ID card (1 copy).
- Household registration book copy for verification.
- Program application form (provided by the university).
- Letter of commitment from parents/guardians.
- Passport photos (4x6 cm): 3 copies.
8. Program Start Date
- October every year.
