Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) has been authorised by the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) to implement the joint Master's program in Construction Management with National Taiwan University (NTU), following the approval in Decree No. 2116/QD-BGDDT, dated August 12, 2024. To provide prospective students with further details, HUCE presents the following essential information for the 17th intake for the academic year 2024-2025:
I. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
-
HUCE and NTU both offer internationally recognised programs. The Master’s degree awarded by NTU is recognised by the Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam. NTU is ranked in the Top 69 among universities worldwide according to the QS World University Rankings in 2024.
-
The program spans two years. The first year is spent at HUCE, and the second year is at NTU in Taiwan. Students from Vietnam will receive financial support and research opportunities during their stay in Taiwan, where they will undertake thesis research for 5-6 months.
-
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in industry visits, engage in practical experience, and learn about construction management, gaining valuable insights into Taiwanese construction practices. This will also open pathways to employment with Taiwanese companies in Vietnam or Taiwan.
-
Applicants are not required to take an entrance examination but must submit their application and participate in an interview conducted in English.
-
The program offers high flexibility, catering to working professionals with courses that allow part-time study. These courses are tailored to those already engaged in their professional careers.
-
80% of the coursework in the first year will be conducted at HUCE. Students will be expected to adapt to the academic system in Taiwan, improving their English proficiency, particularly for effective communication during the second year at NTU.
-
Upon completion, students can pursue job opportunities in construction management, both in Vietnam and internationally, especially in Taiwan, where the job market for engineers is thriving.
