POSTGRADUATE COLLABORATION PROGRAM BETWEEN

HANOI UNIVERSITY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING AND HUDDERSFIELD UNIVERSITY (UNITED KINGDOM)

 

1. General Information

  • The University of Huddersfield, established in 1825, is located in the heart of Huddersfield – a historic and friendly city known for having one of the lowest living costs in the UK. It is less than an hour’s drive from major cities such as Liverpool, Leeds, York, Manchester, and Birmingham.
  • Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) has signed a bilateral cooperation program or Credit Transfer Program (Mapping Program) with the University of Huddersfield for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Master’s) education.
  • The Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded by the University of Huddersfield and are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.

2. Transfer Eligibility

  • Students must have graduated from Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 is required, with no skill below 5.5.

3. Transfer Program Structure

a. Construction Economics and Urban Management (4+1 Program)

  • After completing their undergraduate studies at HUCE, students will continue studying for one additional year at the University of Huddersfield to obtain a Master’s degree in Advanced Project Management.

b. Architecture (4+1, 4+2 Program)

  • HUCE graduates can choose:
    • One-year program (4+1): To obtain a Master’s degree in Urban Design (MA Urban Design).
    • Two-year program (4+2): To obtain a Master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design (MA Advanced Architectural Design).

c. Logistics and Supply Chain Management (4+1 Program)

  • Graduates from HUCE specializing in Logistics and Supply Chain Management can continue their studies for one additional year at the University of Huddersfield to earn a Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chains (MA Logistics and Supply Chains).

4. Application Process

  • Interested students must register with the Faculty of International Education for admission consideration.
  • The application documents include:
    • English proficiency certificate (if available)
    • Academic transcript (certified by the Training Management Office)
    • Application form
    • Two passport-sized photos (3x4 cm)

5. Tuition Fees and Scholarship Opportunities

  • Tuition Fees: £15,000 - £16,000 per year, depending on the program (subject to annual changes).
  • Living Expenses: Approximately £5,000 per year.

Scholarships:

  • All students receive a Partner Scholarship of £2,000 per year.
  • Students with a GPA between 7.0 and 8.0 receive a Partner Scholarship of £3,000 per year.
  • Students with a GPA of 8.0 or higher receive a Partner Scholarship of £4,000 per year.

6. Enrollment Quota

  • The program admits 10 - 20 students annually.
